Air Antwerp, the new regional airline for Antwerp Airport

Air Antwerp, the new regional airline for Antwerp Airport
12/09/2019
On 9 September, the regional airline Air Antwerp launched the iconic business route between Antwerp and London City.

Air Antwerp flies 16 times a week with a rotation of three flights a day from Monday to Friday, not on Saturdays and then one rotation on Sunday evening. The flights are operated with a Fokker 50, a turboprop. This aircraft can accommodate 50 passengers. This route will appeal to many business people, given the speed, proximity and smoothness that are important for this target population. This important business destination strengthens the image of Antwerp Airport as a “business airport”. Air Antwerp was made possible by two investors: the Irish Cityjet (75%) and the Dutch KLM (25%). Air Antwerp emphasises that it aims to transport 50,000 passengers (mainly business but also leisure) by 2020.
