Air Tetiaroa increases its fleet with the DHC-6 and builds a new hangar
18/06/2019
Air Tetiaroa is a Tahitian national airline that connects Tahiti with the famous seaside resort "The Brando", a luxury hotel located on the island of Marlon Brando, Tetiaroa.

This small atoll is equipped with a short private runway (775m) where the carrier flew with 2 Britten Norman BN2T aircraft, able to transport only 9 passengers. The success of the resort has encouraged Air Tetiaroa to increase its transport capacity with 2 additional aircraft, DHC-6 equipped with 14 seats.

Based on Tahiti-Faa’a airport, the old hangar was built by Air Tetiaroa in 2012 to the dimensions of the BN2T. The delivery of the DHC-6 required to build a new hangar adapted to the Twin Otter. The location of this new hangar motivated ADT to widen a taxiway to upgrade its category from A to B and continue it to the new hangar. ADT's investment reached €1.2 million to support the carrier's development project.
