Libreville Airport, 1st Central African Airport certified !
Under the high patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, President of the Republic, Head of State, Libreville Airport organized a ceremony of official presentation of the aerodrome certificate, Thursday, August 30 at the Hotel Radisson Blu.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mam Sait JALLOW Regional Director ICAO DAKAR, Mr. Justin NDOUNANGOYE Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mr. Daniel LEFEBVRE, Director General of Libreville Airport (ADL SA), Mr. Arthur NKOUMOU DELAUNAY, Director General of the National Agency of Civil Aviation (ANAC), Mr Jean-Paul MAKOSSO, Representative of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), partners of the platform and representatives of the airlines. In addition, 14 Government Ministers accompanied the President of the Republic.

 ADL, ANAC Gabon and ASECNA are involved in the certification project for aerodromes in West and Central Africa launched on August 10, 2016 in Dakar.

 Following various expert missions, axes of progress were identified and work started to fulfill the requirements of the certification, for example:

- Works to upgrade the facilities on the track.
- Establishment of a cell for the management of the Wildlife hazard
- Investment in human resources through the recruitment of technicians and the implementation of an efficient training policy.

 This certification is the result of a successful collaboration and a combined and obvious involvement of all airport operators for more than 2 years.

 Significant technical assistance work has been provided by Egis Avia and Egis Airport Operation as the AMO of the works and at the level of the design and writing of the databases.

ADL is proud to be the first airport in Central Africa to obtain the aerodrome certificate.
