Libreville: e-visa and e-gates new services
In order to ease the access to the country and to facilitate the development of tourism, the Gabonese Government recently decided to create e-visas for non-resident people intending to visit Gabon.

In close partnership with Libreville International Airport, the Gabonese Immigration Department (DGDI) has implemented, inside the arrival zone of the airport, a distinctive office especially dedicated to the delivery of the new e-visas.

In addition to the e-visa facilitation, the Gabonese Immigration Department, in close cooperation with Libreville International Airport, has now implemented “e-gates” for Gabonese and resident passengers.

For this first step, four e-gates with facial recognition were displayed: two on arrival and two in the departure hall.

This new system allows a quick check of passport and strengthens national security. It improves operational efficiency and facilitates passenger flows on arrival by simplifying and speeding up the verification of passports. The e-gates are very easy to use and the process only takes a few seconds.
