New passenger terminal at Pointe-Noire Airport
The second module of the Antonio-Agostinho-Neto International Airport terminal in Pointe-Noire is finally operational, three years after its inauguration by the President of the Republic, Denis Sassou Nguesso.
The building, which covers an area of 21,000 m², is fully air-conditioned and benefits from natural lighting thanks to glazed facades. On two levels (arrivals on the ground floor and departures on the first floor), the new terminal building can accommodate up to 2 million passengers a year.
Some key figures:
- 24 check-in stations and 8 security lines in the departure area
- 3 baggage belts that comply with ICAO standards in the arrival area
- 2 double decks leading to the aircraft
- A bus service provided for off-station.
In addition to duty free shops, bars and restaurants, the new terminal offers also a comfortable business lounge and dedicated VIP facilities.
