Ostend-Bruges Airport welcomes a new cargo handler
The arrival of BCUBE, the new aircargo operator at Ostend-Bruges Airport, is considered to be the game changer for expansion and further growth.

Five years ago, when Egis took over the airport, the role of Marcel Buelens, CEO of Ostend-Bruges Flanders International Airport, was clear: to focus on three essential areas to support the airport's growth, such as freight, passenger services and general aviation.

BCUBE is a leading company in the international aviation logistics sector. It offers a full range of services and is active in various sectors: automotive, industry and energy, aerospace and defence, food and beverages, fashion and luxury, consumer goods and document management, global transport services, with international references in each of these sectors. BCUBE air cargo Belgium is a subsidiary of the Italian company BCUBE air cargo. The company is still in family hands and was founded in 1952 by the Bonzano family from Milan. With 117 operational branches in a wide logistics context, the company is a global player.

The services will be developed on Apron 1 in a recently renovated and fully equipped 4,000m² warehouse. Brand new ground handling equipment will be used to extend the project to Ostend.

In addition, the company will provide an economic boost. In the meantime, 20 recruitments have already been made.
